Perranporth School Newsletter 7th June 2013
Dear Parents/Carers,
Great News!!
The governors have agreed to the proposal that as from September there will be seven classes to accommodate growing numbers. There will be about 180 pupils in the autumn and this will mean smaller class sizes. A new teacher will be appointed in the next couple of weeks.
Other good news is that Mrs Lampier is now the assistant headteacher, in recognition of her position on the Senior Management Team as SENco and Early Years Co-ordinator.
Congratulations to Frank in Year 6 who won a gold medal for long jump and two silver awards for running in the under thirteens section the Cornwall County Athletics Championships.
Bag2 School has raised £170 this morning so many thanks to all concerned!
Cool Kids –Newlyn East School.
We have been informed that this club will not be open in the summer holidays .
The Great Summer Camp Out 2013
Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th June. midday to midday.
You should have received a flyer (via email) this week with all the details of this fantastic school social coming up NEXT weekend. Please book your pitch with the school secretary asap as we need to know numbers for the catering. FOPS will be offering BBQ food but please bring along a plate of something to share such as salad, dips or cake. This is a great fun event, despite the rain last year; fingers crossed for sunshine!
Summer Fair Saturday – 13th July
Just five weeks to go until the Summer Fair which this year will be held down on the Inner Green (Memorial Hall if wet). Raffle tickets came home in book bags this week. Please help out and sell as many as you can! Remember to return the stubs and any unsold tickets to school.
Lost Property
There are MANY unnamed white T shirts, trousers and jumpers in lost property so please check to see if your child has lost one. Please come and have a look!
We are aware of a couple of cases of Slapped Cheek being diagnosed and any women in early pregnancy need to be alerted to this. Please look out for symptoms and consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
