Boscawen Newsletter 28th April 2017
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week, we have continued with our Roman topic and the children have started work on writing information leaflets in literacy.
In maths we are looking at time – telling the time on an analogue clock as well the number of days in a month or week and how many months in a year. Could you please encourage your child to read the time as much as possible and discuss how long you spend doing activities etc.
This week, we had our first times table test – we found out that lots of us don’t know the division facts for the table. Any practise you can squeeze in would be very useful! I have put a practice sheet for the 3 times table on the reverse of this sheet for children to practise too.
On last thing, could everyone check their children’s sweatshirts to see if they have accidentally taken home Alex Day’s top? It is labelled and he lost it earlier this week. Thank you.
As always, if you have any questions, please email us on sburns@perranporth.cornwall.sch.uk or esmitheram.cornwall.sch.uk .
Thank you.
Mrs Burns and Mrs Smitheram.
