Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly thank you to you and the children for making me feel most welcome at Perranporth Community School. Also thank you for those who attended the ‘meet the teacher’ evening. I just want to reiterate that we have an open door policy and please feel free to drop in to see me if you ever have any questions.
This first full week back has been jam packed with learning; we have established rules for the classroom, we have been working particularly hard on our place value of 2 and 3 digit numbers and we have produced some excellent brain teasing and thought provoking riddles. Riddles will be our focus for home learning this week.
On Thursday we had our first PE session and as well as a lot of learning taking place we have had a lot of fun. A quick note regarding PE kits: They need to stay in school and need to be labelled. PE days are Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Spellings have been given out today and we will have our first test next Friday. Please practise them in your spelling book or home-learning book.
Next week we will vote our school parliament members so if you would like to stand for Perranporth Parliament please prepare a two minute speech for why you will be a fantastic member.
Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing your child next week.
Matt Howes
