Welcome Back Everyone!

We hope you had a lovely Easter break and are ready and raring to go for the new and final term this year. Our topic for this term, (as you may well have heard) is Keen to be Green and our first study will be all about the Rainforests. The children are keen to make the classroom into a rainforest and so they are allowed to bring in clearly named (relevant) props if they wish.

HOMEWORK

As usual we would like to begin with a child led creative homework project. Please encourage your child to create something special that represents one aspect of rainforest life. This could be anything from a poster, to a rainforest creature or animal with it’s own facts, a 3d model or mobile, a j2e webpage or any other creative project linked to rainforests!  This can be bought in/completed any time between now and the 10^th of May. All home learning will be shared in assembly and displayed in the KS2 corridoor.  The children will be bringing home weekly multiplication tables to learn instead of spelling this term. These will be tested on a Friday.

We are also studying plants, how they grow and adapt and the best conditions for growth. We need lemonade bottles or similar to begin growing our bean plants. Please bring in as many as you have, over the next week. Any unwanted seeds would also be gratefully received! You never know, if it goes well we may be inviting you to a home grown lunch in the latter part of the summer term!

PE

PE continues to be on a Monday and Thursday. However as the summer term continues there are several outdoor activities that require kit and so we would like it in school at all times please.
