Fever Fire and Fashion – Computing Lesson 1
In this Unit, we are going to use a variety of guided websites to write an article about the Great Fire of London and use this article to learn about creating a newspaper that reflects the news and activities of the time. We will then use this article as a basis to present a media based news story, such as an audio news bulletin, or video report using a range of digital recording devices and software. This week we start with the research, use the links below to research the main features and layout of newspaper reports.

Our Trip to Geevor!
To help bring their learning to life, this week Boscawen Class made the trip to Geevor Tin Mine. The children’s current topic is ’Shake, Rock and Roll’, so they have been learning all about rock formations, fossils, volcanoes and all manner of other interesting geological information. Whilst at Geevor the children found out all about the different rocks in Cornwall, tin mining and what it is like to be a miner. Everyone had a fantastic day and a really worthwhile learning experience.
